About

John was born and raised in a music-loving family in Albany, New York. As a teen, he started to make a name for himself through festivals and educational opportunities, and went on to study jazz trumpet and voice at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music.John has had the pleasure of learning from and playing with some of the great musicians of our time including Wynton Marsalis, Terell Stafford, Dick Oatts, Christie Dashiell, Renee Marie, Sachal Vasandani, Benny Benack III, Jimmy Greene, Michael Rodriguez, Joe Magnarelli, Tim Warfield, John Swana, Marcus Printup, and Sean Jones, among many others.Currently living in Philadelphia, PA, John is an active member in the city's music scene. He frequently performs at Chris' Jazz Café and other staple venues in Philly, New York, and beyond.
